Feature Film coming to Pearl District
02/24/2007
By Jeff & Chrissy Hamlin
Situated between Portland’s waterfront McCormick Pier Condominiums and the historic Albers Mill building, the Bridge Diner movie set has been erected for the filming of Untraceable, starring Diane Lane (Under the Tuscan Sun, Must Love Dogs, Unfaithful) and directed by Greg Hoblit (Primal Fear, Hart’s War).
The city of Portland will be the backdrop for the story. “Diane Lane’s character plays a FBI agent who is tracking a serial killer. Since the story takes place in Portland, we are filming locations that show off the city of Portland. We have a scene that takes place on the Broadway Bridge. Filming is scheduled for Saturday, February 17, 2007 and three nights (3/21/07, 3/22/07, 3/23/07).” – Jennifer Dunn, Location Manager for Untraceable.
If you find yourself driving Naito Parkway near the new construction for the Waterfront Pearl Condominiums looking for place to grab a meal, The Bridge Diner is advertised being open 24 hours for steak and chops, you’ll be disappointed to learn it’s just a façade. On the other hand, keep your eyes open and you may be treated with a glimpse of the unforgettable starlet, Diane Lane!
